1.Venue & Location:

  • Police Training College, Angul (Odisha) 
  • Manekshaw Parade Ground, 1 Cubbon Road, Bengaluru & 7 Airmen Selection Centre, No. 1 Cubbon Road, Bengaluru.

2.Age Limit:

Both state Candidates born between 17 January 2000 and 30 December 2003 (both days inclusive)

3.Pay & Allowances:

  • During training, a stipend of Rs. 14,600/- per month shall be paid. On completion of training the starting gross emoluments at the minimum of scale of pay including Military Service Pay (MSP), group ‘X’ pay shall be Rs. 33,100/- per month plus Dearness allowance (as applicable) which, in subsequent years, may rise as per the career progression of the individual
  • Other allowances such as transport allowance, composite personal maintenance allowance (CPMA), leave ration allowance (LRA), children education allowance, HRA etc. shall also be admissible to airmen, as per relevant government instructions.

4.Educational Qualification:

Both state Candidates Passed intermediate/ 10+2 /equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics and English with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English. OR Three year Diploma course in Engineering (Mechanical /Electrical /Electronics / Automobile /Computer Science /Instrumentation Technology /Information Technology) from a government recognized polytechnic Institute with minimum 50% marks in overall aggregate and 50% marks in English in diploma or in intermediate /matriculation if English is not a subject in diploma. 5.Higher Education:

Airmen shall be permitted to pursue higher education qualification only after acquiring prescribed skill grade in their trade

6.List Of Employee Benefits:

 Perks such as ration, clothing, medical facilities, accommodation, CSD facilities, Leave (60 days annual and 30 days casual in a calendar year as a privilege, subject to service exigencies), recreational facilities, transport for school going children and Leave Travel Concession (LTC) shall also be provided as per the existing rules. Group Insurance Cover of Rs. 50 Lakhs at a premium of Rs. 3200/- per month for all airmen and facility of Group Housing Scheme are also extended. 

7.Medical Standards:

(a) General Medical Standards shall be as follows: -
  •  Chest: Minimum range of expansion: 5 cm 
  •  Weight: Proportionate to height and age. 
  •  Corneal Surgery (PRK/LASIK) shall not be acceptable.
  •  Hearing: Candidate should have normal hearing i.e. able to hear forced whisper from a distance of 6 meters with each ear separately. 
  •  Dental: Should have healthy gums, good set of teeth and minimum 14 dental points. 
  •  General Health: Candidate should be of normal anatomy without loss of any appendages. He should be free from any active or latent, acute or chronic, medical or surgical disability or infection and skin ailments. Candidate must be physically and mentally FIT to perform duty in any part of the world, in any climate and terrain.

9.Online/Offline Registration Period:

Online Pre- Registration for the rally start at 1100 hrs on 08 September 2020 and will close at 1700 hrs on 10 September 2020
NOTE-Pre-Registration for the rally will start at 1100 hrs on 08 September 2020 and will close at 1700 hrs on 10 September 2020 on webportal www.airmenselection.cdac.in. In view of COVID-19 restrictions and consequent testing constrains, limited candidates can be tested. In case of over subscription, shortlisted candidates based on merit [% marks obtained in Intermediate/ 10+2/ Equivalent examination/Diploma course (as applicable)] would be issued provisional admit cards. Only candidates issued with provisional admit cards are allowed to appear in recruitment rally

11.SEQUENCE OF EXAMINATION:

Group ‘X’ (Technical) {except Education Instructor) Trades
  • Physical Fitness Test (PFT). PFT consists of a 1.6 km run to be completed within 6 minutes 30 seconds. Candidates shall also have to complete 10 push-ups, 10 sit-ups and 20 squats within the stipulated time to qualify in the physical fitness test. Note: Candidates are advised to bring their sports shoes and shorts/track pant.
  •  Written Test. All candidates who qualify PFT shall under take written test on the same day or subsequent day depending on the local conditions. The written test will be objective type and question paper shall be bilingual (English and Hindi) except for English paper. Answers are to be annotated on OMR sheet. Detailed procedure shall be explained before conduct of examination. Duration of written test will be 60 minutes and shall comprise of Physics, Maths and English as per 10+2 CBSE syllabus. CANDIDATES ARE TO QUALIFY IN EACH PAPER SEPARATELY.
  •  Marking Pattern for Written Test:- (i) 01 mark for every correct answer. (ii) Nil (0) marks for un-attempted question. (iii) 0.25 marks shall be deducted for each wrong answer or choosing more than one option as answer.
  •   Adaptability Test-1. All candidates who pass the written test shall undertake adaptability test-1 on the same or subsequent day depending on the local conditions. Adaptability test - 1 is to assess suitability of a candidate for employment in the IAF which involves deployment in varied geographic terrain, weather and operational conditions. 
  •  Adaptability Test-2. All candidates who pass adaptability test-1 will have to undertake adaptability test-2 as per policy in vogue. Adaptability test-2 is to select candidates who can adapt to the environment of Indian Air Force and are able to adjust to the military way of life.
